光棍节 guānggùnjié

Every Nov. 11 in China is Singles' Day, designated as a day to celebrate being alone. 1-1-1-1 those numbers  become a symbol of the unmarried people. They are single nobles.

China is the only country in the world has set this day as a special day for people who are still living the single life. Singles Day was first celebrated at various universities in Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu Province during the 1990s, then come to the hole china. Some business man like this idea, which in 2009 used Singles' Day as a way to get sales promotion.

Singles' Day is great chance to have a date, the main way to celebrate Singles' Dayis to have dinner with your single friends, but it's important that each person pay their own way to show their independence. People also hold 'blind date' parties in an attempt to bid goodbye to their single lives.
