“I think Chinese is a very good language to learn to get ready for my futureâ€
Q. Why are you learning Chinese?
A. I'm learning Chinese because I found China very interesting my last time here, and because I wanted to study more languages. I think Chinese is a very good language to learn to get ready for my future.
Q. What is your favorite Chinese food?
A. I ate snake for the first time here, which was good! But my favorite dishes are spring rolls and a bunch of strange fruits that we don't have back home.
Q. What is your favorite place in Shanghai?
A. I would say the Yu Yuan garden, if the place were a little less crowded. There are also some nice cafés by the Bund, I love People's Square on a sunny day or one of the markets here!
Q. What do you find most interesting about Shanghai?
A. I love that Chinese and Western culture are mixed. It's a good combination!
Q. How difficult/easy was it to adjust to life in China?
A. Every day I learn something new about Chinese culture and people, but for me it has been easy to adjust! Nevertheless, I'm still struggling a little bit with the bargaining.
