A: I enroll Standard Chinese at Mandarin House Shanghai School. The course it´s perfect!
Q: What do you find most interesting about Shanghai?
A: The city itself.
Q: Tell us a few of your most memorable experiences in Shanghai?
A: One of the funniest things that happen to me was when I needed to buy a spoon. I went to Carrefour with a spoon in my hand, since I didn´t know Chinese I thought it was the easiest way to show the people what I wanted to buy. So I said to the shopping assistant: “wo yao…?and show the spoon. The woman took me to the ice-cream isle in the supermarket. I couldn´t believe it. She and I just start laughing since we didn´t understand each other.

A: My advice to the future students is to be open-minded, relaxed and enjoy.
